Welcome. It’s so wonderful to have you here. This has been a long time in the making and is not without trepidation. The first line on a blank page is equally intimidating as the first stroke on the blank canvas. It is a process that is at once terrifying and exhilarating.
And yet here we are. This blog will entail my thoughts and reflections as I paint. I want to be honest and express both the ups and downs of putting paint on canvas and words on the screen. It won’t always be pretty but it will at least always be real. Because for me, painting is the opportunity to keep it real. We may not always be able to say everything we want to say, but for those of us who are visually minded, we let our brushes (or our pencils, or our pens, or our crayons) do the talking.
Within this blog, I’ll take you through my process on the canvas. It is here where I will discuss what is going on in my mind in relation to my painting…both what is influencing me and what is challenging me. I will also post photos of the process…so it will get messy! For my fellow artist friends (and that means all of you), I invite you to join me in the process.
